Millions of Americans live with serious diseases. At Centocor Ortho Biotech, we dedicate our hearts and minds to improving the health of these individuals in three distinct areas where the burden is great:
- Immunology - Approximately 10 million people in the United States live with immunologic disorders, such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis and plaque psoriasis. Our goal is to improve health through therapies that treat the cause of immunologic disorders, and provide patient support programs that address the multiple aspects of living with these diseases.
- Oncology - Cancer is the second most common cause of death in the U.S. Men have slightly less than a 1 in 2 lifetime risk of developing cancer; for women, the risk is a little more than 1 in 3. We intend to transform outcomes for individuals with cancer through novel treatments that address unmet medical needs, and extend and enhance life.
- Nephrology - Approximately 28 million Americans have evidence of chronic kidney disease, and 28 million more are at risk. Centocor Ortho Biotech is committed to providing therapeutic and supportive care solutions for the nephrology community.
